Interactions with Conventional Medications

While conventional medications can influence both assessment as well as treatment, my approach is to carefully individualize whenever a patient on prescribed medications begins homeopathic treatment. Usually I ask patients to remain on their medications during the initial treatment phase. When both patient and I are certain the remedy is working, medications are usually gradually tapered in consultation with the patient's conventional medical prescriber.

In other cases the presence of strong prescription medicine so complicates the initial assessment that I will ask the patient to reduce the dose before coming in for an evaluation.
